GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS
The North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association is committed to recognizing and rewarding future horticulture industry leaders. Horticultural educational opportunities are strong at the junior college and university level within our state.
The purpose of the NCAN Scholarship is to identify and reward horticulture students who exemplify scholastic aptitude, positive attitude, and industry potential. Work experience within the industry, leadership ability, and financial need will also be considered.
Deadline - May 14, 2008
The Certified
Landscape Technician scholarship is awarded
to full time students enrolled in a horticulture curriculum
and interested in becoming CLT certified. These scholarships
will be available for the June 7 & 8, 2007 CLT test
in Kinston, NC
Deadline - April 24, 2008
If you are a full time student that would like to apply for one or both of these scholarships, please fill out the application completely and mail or fax to NCNLA by the application deadline.
Duplicate the application form as needed. The application can also be aquired from the NCNLA office at (919) 816-9119. If you have any questions please call the NCNLA office.
The Green Industry Grant Program was developed by the North Carolina Association of Nurserymen in 2002 to assist other North Carolina green industry groups with projects that would include, but not be limited to Education, Membership Development, and Marketing.
The maximum
grant amount request for 2008 is $5,000.00.
